Smart cars coming to U.S?
September 20th, 2005 at 9:20 am by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
For all of you Smartuki fans who would like to put one of these sweethearts together, you may get your chance after all. Although Smart cars have not been available here and Mercedes has said they were not going to sell them here, enthusiasts have been hoping they would change their minds and yesterday it looks like Smart Cars in the U.S. are a possibility:
Dieter Zetsche, … said a decision on Smart for the United States would be made by the end of 2006.
Smart could arrive here at the end of 2007 or 2008 with the second generation of the tiny ForTwo range.
Get your tools ready and look out Corvettes.

I saw these things were all over the place when I visted Monteral for the F1 race. I think they’re great little cars as is. Toss in that ‘Busa motor and you’re looking at real fun, I imagine.
