Energy Conversion
August 29th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
If you want to see the energy stored in liquid form converted to brutal acceleration, you need to go to the drags. It doesn’t matter what form of motorsports you like, drag racing performs this energy conversion in a more dramatic fashion than any other racing format. TV does not begin to convey what happens when two Top Fuel dragsters launch in full fury.
The Kneeslider was at the IHRA World Nationals at Norwalk Raceway this past weekend and as always, it gives us that power fix that keeps us going. 4.7 second quarter miles at 300+mph make me smile. Gotta love it.

Of course this was all done while studying alternative fuels as this Ethanol powered funny car shows. It was running just under 6 seconds as I recall. Corn anyone?
