Rossi to race Rally cars?

Last week everyone was reporting on Valentino Rossi’s 2 day test session in a Ferrari Formula 1 car. Now he is set to test the Fiat Punto ‘Super 2000′ prototype pro rally car as early as this week. Rossi actually did a little racing in the World Rally Championship in 2002. Though confirmed to race MotoGP next year his options afterwards are open and he has shown great interest in 4 wheel racing. The Italian manufacturers would love to have a well known Italian driver at the wheel of their cars and Rossi has a huge fan base that will follow his move to whatever venue he eventually decides to compete in. One official for Renault dismissed his chances to be competitive in F1 but I wouldn’t be so sure. Should be interesting.
