Scala Rider - wireless headset for motorcycles
August 5th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Cardo Systems has introduced the Scala-Rider, a wireless Bluetooth headset for cell phones so you can chat away while riding your motorcycle. I have written numerous times about the increased reaction times of automobile drivers using cell phones, now we get to slow down the reactions of bikers. Will these sell? Absolutely. Looks like a well made product but I just don’t know if it’s such a hot idea. Some of you may find it really useful, though, so check it out and decide for yourself. Works with MP3 players, too.

Just another chance for natural selection to work. But then again, Scala will probably be sued for making such a product and the dumbass rider will be a millionare.

I think that anything is better than trying to use your hands to answer a telephone while riding — though I’ve never seen a cyclist using a cell phone.

wonderful! the losers will use it all the time and get hurt smart people wil use it safely… most of the time, like when there not tired , or stressed , or running late, or sick , fatigued throw in inclement weather and nasty roads and you really have a first class darwin unit…. not really a good idea in my book, when you ride you should want to be away from the phone.
simple as that. happy riding.
