Motoart
July 29th, 2005 by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"
Several times I’ve pointed out scrap metal art and the like and as I was looking over the EAA website after updating info on the HondaJet, I saw this item on Motoart. This company takes parts and pieces of old airplanes and turns them into furniture, sculpture and all sorts of neat things. How about the Aqua Bomb, a ten gallon aquarium made from a MK-84 bomb tailfin. Perhaps a chair from a KC97 Stratofreighter seat? You could have a sculpture made from the propeller blade of a DC-3. There’s lots more. I really like this kind of tech art. Check it out.
