Rossi and the British MotoGP

July 28th, 2005 at 9:38 am by Paul Crowe - "The Kneeslider"

Valentino Rossi won the British MotoGP last week and we’re right back to where we were. When Nicky Hayden won very convincingly over here at Laguna Seca it showed he has the talent and equipment to beat everyone else and with Colin Edwards second you saw the same thing but it also raised the question about track familiarity as a factor. I already mentioned this but now, back on the European circuits, Rossi jumps back up on top. Nicky has had a few years to get familiar with those tracks but Rossi has been on them far longer. I wish there was a way to compensate but racing is what it is. Let’s hope Nicky can get back up there.
