All chrome Yamaha R1

There used to be an old saying around cars and motorcycles, “If it don’t go, chrome it.” I think this R1 may go very well but they decided to chrome it anyway. Everything, including the plastic has been chromed. I’ve seen Ducati Monsters that had chrome tanks and looked pretty nice and there’s a faint memory of a chopper but I don’t recall any all chrome sportbikes, of course I don’t follow all of the latest fashion trends, this could be big in some circles. Keep your polish handy. By Spyder Racing.

Want to do this to your bike? Alsa Corp has everything you need and a huge gallery of examples. Very cool!

I couldn’t own this bike. Fingerprints would drive me crazy.

That bike looks like it has a good coating of Alsa Corps. Mirra Chrome on it you can check them out at http://www.alsacorp.com/paints.htm

Dang.. Looks like Alsa Corp stuff to me as well.
Oh well, Nice to see that some people are doing the *exact opposite* thing from what we do. You won’t find one piece of chrome on a Hellcat. Even less on a Wraith. Now, there is the possibility you’ll find some polished alloy fenders in the future… But NO CHROME! Ever!

Nice-lookin’ R1 tho’..

Now all the guy needs is a chrome riding suit and he could be the modern iteration of the Knight in Shining Armor.

I’ve gotta agree with James, the fingerprints would make me crazy. That and the funhouse mirror effect all the time. Still looks totally bitchin’ though!

ooooooo, shiny!

Unfortunatey, as JH points out, you’d need a suit of shining armor to ride it in proper style.

Looks very very cool.

But i really whouldnt want to own or ride that thin.

The whole fingerprint part is totaly true and a shinig suit whould also be needed.
Dont think a black suit whould look too cool on this thing.

And i just cant get along with the thought oft beeing blinded by my own bike all the time.
Besides, i dont want to have to sit on this thing after leaving it standing in broad sunlight the whole day. Could be kinda hot.

So, what do YOU say?
