Unix Motorcycle

Unix motorcycleOK, I’m going out on a limb here, but I bet some of you not only ride motorcycles but, … here goes, you like computers, too. I know, crazy idea but it’s true. Don’t feel bad, I fall into that category and so does this guy who built a PC into his Kawasaki Z1000. The PC runs Unix and currently is used to take the feed from his helmet camera. If you happen to feel the need to digitize your ride, he has a parts list and how-to on his site.

As I was looking over his site, I noticed some other mods to his bike which include Bosch air horns! I know there were many times I could have used those instead of that pitiful beep most bikes seem to have. (Why is that?) Anyway, check it out. Link comes via Riding Sun which is an interesting blog itself. Wide ranging, lots of current events outside the motorcycle area and he’s even been Instalanched!
